About the artist

Sara Luna is a Chilean fiber artist whose abstract portraits represent the artist’s fascination with the theory of multiverse, and how our decision-making can influence the course of our lives and subsequent identities. Her work is created through unique punch needle embroidery techniques.

“I believe that we all carry pain with us, a pain that we try and hide from the world, but our expression works against us, giving us away. Embroidery is home, it's my attempt to return to my mother and the shelter I need. “Multiverse” is a collection of doubts about the choices we make. I get deep into wondering what a different version of me is doing, and how taking the other path changed her life.”
